Young Eagles COVID-19 Waiver: Optional Or Required ?

Is the Young Eagles COVID-19 Waiver (https://www.eaa.org/eaa/eaa-chapters/eaa-chapter-resources/chapter-gatherings-and-meetings/COVID-19-and-Virtual-Meeting-Solutions) a required or optional part of the Young Eagles flight paperwork?

The form is available on the website (see link above), and I did have parents review and sign along with the normal YE waiver on a flight this past weekend ... but its unclear if this is required or at the pilot's discretion. Any thoughts?

The Young Eagles COVID-19 waiver is optional. It can be used at the chapter’s or pilot’s discretion.
